Zeb Burt, age 12, of Chatsworth went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his Ya-Ya, Terena Stone, and P-Paw, Charles Stone.

Survivors include his parents, Houston and Samantha Burt of Chatsworth; sister, Caroline Burt of Chatsworth; brother, Elijah Burt of Chatsworth; Pop and Nana, Curtis and Joyce Burt of Chatsworth; aunts; uncles; cousins; and close friends and family.

Zeb, Zebco, Zebby, Zebbers, our bright spot, truly our sunshine – your smile lit up the whole world. Zeb's love for Jesus was genuine and evident in the way that he loved others. He never met a stranger, and a short conversation quickly turned into a lasting friendship.

Zeb found joy in building Legos, shaping clay figures, playing video games, and creating 3D prints. Zeb definitely knew all the facts about every subject. He recently started a new adventure and was excited about playing football. He loved being outside, hitting golf balls, and shooting clay. Zeb loved all animals, especially his cat, Smokey, and dog, Howie.

Zeb loved and adored his big sister and brother and was always wanting to follow in his brother's footsteps. The bond that the three of them shared was filled with laughter, love, and so many memories. He always had a big hug for his Momma and a story or joke for his Dad.

Our hearts are shattered by his absence but have peace in knowing that he is with Jesus and that we will see him again. His time with us was way too short, but the love he shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Funeral services for Zeb will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Bowen officiating. A private burial will follow at Spring Place Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral begins at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in memory of Zeb be made to the Gladden Middle School football team, wrestling team, and Builders Club (700 Old Dalton Ellijay Rd, Chatsworth, GA 30705).
