Mr. Thomas Alan Wilbanks, age 66, passed away on July 24, 2024 in Panama City, FL. He was born on October 31, 1957 in Dalton, GA, and is the son of the late Vernon and Bennie Wilbanks.

He graduated from East Brook High School in 1975, and joined the United States Air Force in 1981. After 23 years, he retired from Moody Air Force Base as a Master Sergeant.

Tom was predeceased by his grandparents, T.J. and Effie Wilbanks and L.O. and Minnie Ledford; nephew, David Cook.

He is survived by his children, Lei DeFore (Joshua) Sturgill, Thomas Ross (Kristie) Wilbanks, and Russell Alan (Jennifer) Wilbanks; his grandchildren, Karter Goforth, Ryder Wilbanks, Sicily Wilbanks, Lilly Wilbanks, and, Olivia Wilbanks; siblings, Mike (Janice) Cook, Kelvin Wilbanks, and Teresa (Lance) Domzalski.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA and will be conducted by Pastor Dennis Ledford.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth, GA from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
