Mrs. Tara Sue Powell, age 49, of Chatsworth went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Tara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Renee Layman Goswick; cousin, Franz Parke Metz; grandparents, Harry and Joan Metz.

Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Mark "Ed" Powell; son, Jeremy Griffin Powell; daughter, Sonja Powell; grandchildren, Victoria Powell, Alex and Cameron Long; mother and stepfather, Susan and Andres Torres; father, Steve Harry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Aaron and Tina Harry, Steven and Laura Harry, Andres (Jr) Torres; sister, Alejandra Torres; uncles, Larry Metz, Franz Metz, and Robie Metz; cousins, Marla Metz, Christina Metz, and Malerie Morarity.

She loved her family with all her heart. She was a valued member of the ATM Automotive family for 15 years where she was a shop manager. She enjoyed canning, gardening and working on their home and property. She was a wonderful cook who loved to cook everything from scratch. Her signature dish was her incredible lasagna. We will love and miss you always. Forever in our hearts.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Tara Sue Powell will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
