Mrs. Staci Lea Ruse, age 44 of Dalton, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at Hamilton Medical Center.

Staci was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and loved being a nurse and cross-stitching. She loved her family unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Smith; father, Johnny Payne; mother, Sandi Payne; sister, Gina Cronan; grandparents, Albert and Rosella Payne.

Survivors include her husband, Wade Ruse of Dalton; sons, Army Sgt. Caleb Smith of Dalton, Tyler Smith of Dalton, Aaron Smith of Dalton; daughter, Emily Smith of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Abby and Zach Albin of Wolcot, IN; sister and brother-in-law, Laura Beth and Zach Crow of Calhoun; grandchildren, Sophie Albin and Calliopie Albin; grandmother, Elizabeth Roberts; extended family also survives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Staci Lea Ruse will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Cantrell, Rev. Steve Corbin, Rev. Andrew Bowen, and Rev. Mark Bowen officiating. Interment will follow at Dewberry Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00am until 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with final expenses.
