Shirley Jean Rampley Couch

Mrs. Shirley Jean Rampley Couch, age 86, of Chatsworth, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was a devout Christian. She was a member of Sardis Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Lamar "Boss" Couch; her parents, James Monroe Rampley and Gladys Ruth Roberts Rampley; her son, Larry Couch; her brothers, Billy Rampley, Jimmy Rampley, and Phillip Rampley; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Woodrow and Victoria Couch; her brothers-in-law, Frank Couch and Clifton Couch; and her daughter-in-law, Trish Couch.

Survivors include her loving children and their spouses, Lynn and Gina Couch of Chatsworth, Marty and Dawn Couch of Chatsworth, Marco "Susie" and Darren Davis of Chatsworth, and Mark Couch of Chatsworth; her siblings and their spouses, Joe Rampley of Chatsworth, Brenda and Alan Lattanzi of Camden, SC, and Garry "Buddy" Rampley of Texas; her sisters-in-law, Mary Evelyn Rampley of Calhoun, GA, Martha Rampley of Chatsworth, and Carolyn Rampley of Chatsworth; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; her special aunts, Pat Etheridge of Dalton, GA and Beulah Couch of Chatsworth; many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Shirley Jean Rampley Couch will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Rickey Studdard and Rev. Edwin Puckett officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
