Mrs. Sheryl Lynn Fowler, age 66, of Chatsworth GA transitioned from her earthly life to her Heavenly home on Saturday afternoon, April 8, 2023 at Hamilton Medical Center due to complications that arose from abdominal surgery.

She was born on January 16, 1957 in Dalton, GA to Johnnie Eugene Davis and Ruby Inez (Montgomery) Davis, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is also preceded in death by: maternal grandparents: Julius and Lovie Montgomery; paternal grandparents: John and Nellie Davis; granddaughter: Katherine Elizabeth Brown and special sister-in-law: Janie Fowler.

Sheryl was the oldest of four children. Sheryl was an alumni of Dalton High School, class of 1975, She graduated from nursing school and started her career at Hamilton Medical Center where she worked for many years.

Sheryl was a well loved member of her community, adored by everyone who met her, and she was a spiritual mother to many people. She loved being a grandmother more than anything in this world.

Sheryl met her husband, Wiley Fowler, 51 years ago when they were teenagers and lived across the street from one another. They married when she was 17, on March 11, 1974. The two of them went on to have three children that they raised in Dalton, GA.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Wiley, their three children and spouses: Talena Renee Grindle (Thomas) of Madisonville, TN; Randall Curtis Fowler (Jamie) of Crandall, GA; Rodney Adam Fowler (Candyss) of Chatsworth, GA.

Grandbabies: Millie Parks, Maverick Fowler, Montana Fowler, Lucy Staton, Kayden Fowler

Her three siblings: Roy Davis of Dalton, Jeff Davis (Denese) of Tunnel Hill, GA; and Karen Green of Dalton.

Special in-laws that she loved and considered as brothers and sisters: Emmett Fowler of Chatsworth, Mack Fowler (Linda) of Chatsworth, and Larry Fowler (Angela) of Rocky Face, GA.

Special nephew: Andrew Green; Special great niece: Emma Green; Special cousins: Danny Cochran (June) and Suzanne Webb

She is survived by many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.

Family will receive friends at Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth on Wednesday, April 12th at 1pm. Services will be held at 3pm in the chapel. Tim Chastain will officiate.

A private burial will follow at her home in Chatsworth. Pallbearers that will carry her to her final resting place are: Jeff Davis, Jacob Diederich, Randall Fowler, Larry Fowler, Andrew Green, Doug Taylor and Brandon Wishon.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth to assist with funeral expenses.
