Mrs. Sheila Womble Evans, age 69, of Chatsworth went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Evans life was defined by her love of the Lord, her family, and the churches she served in full time ministry for 35 years. Among her favorite pastimes were taking trips with her high school sweetheart and husband of over 50 years, and spending quality time with her daughter and grandchildren.

To her, faith in Jesus Christ gave purpose and hope to everything which was evident in the way she lived her life and loved on others until the very end.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Womble; grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her husband, Wesley Evans; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Brian Branam; grandchildren, Morgan and Kiley Branam; mother, Mary Womble; brother, Mike Womble; along with nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Evans will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Price and Rev. Frank Penley officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.

No visitation will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ministry of Camino Church and Community Center, 133 Stetson Dr. Charlotte, NC 28262.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, social distancing and masks are required. No food or beverages will be allowed in the funeral home.
