Mr. Robert W. "Bobby" Richards, age 86, of Eton passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Wood Dale Health and Rehabilitation. He was of the Baptist faith.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ella Richards; daughter, Julia Cochran; grandson, Joseph "Joey" Richards; granddaughter, Jana Smith; and stepmother, Virginia Richards.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Pat Richards of Eton; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Anne Richards of Chesapeake, VA; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Rocky Ponders of St. Simons Island, GA, Jan and Duane Smith of Eton, and Ricky Cochran of Greenville, SC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Walta Butler of Alpharetta, Betty and Charles Spivey of Chatsworth, and Lillie Pendley of Dalton; stepsisters and their spouses, Mozelle and Sam Kittle, Ruby and L.B. Ridley, and Sue and Leroy Jones; grandchildren and their spouses, Rebecca and Divine Ofori-Amankwah, Melissa and Jamie Walden, Josh Cochran, Hannah and Jack Feist, Taylor and Jasmine Richards, and Jacob Smith; great-grandchildren, Cameron Cochran, Autumn Richards, and Jackson Walden; and several dear extended family members.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert W. "Bobby" Richards will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons International or to Hamilton Hospice.
