Mr. Robert Arvin Bishop, age 89, of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Liza Mae Bishop; his son, Timmy Bishop; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie Mae and William Kinsey, and Kathleen and Leon Greeson; and his brother, Robert Louis Bishop.

Survivors include his loving wife of 72 years, Betty Jones Bishop of Chatsworth; his sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Pam Bishop of Chatsworth, Mike Bishop of Chatsworth, and Scott and Traci Bishop of Chatsworth; his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Bill Whitmire; his grandchildren and their spouses, Eric and Carrie Bishop, Chris and Stephanie Bishop, Noah and Julia Bishop, Micah Bishop, Kelsey and Tyler Wofford, and Brady and Andrea Swilling; his great-grandchildren, Wyatt Bishop, Lyric Bishop, Miles Bishop, Annsleigh Bishop, Ryker Bishop, Charlie Jo Bishop, Berkley Wofford, Breck Wofford, Banks Wofford, and Carter Swilling; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Arvin Bishop will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Mark Seay officiating. A private interment will be held at Spring Place Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
