Norma Jean "Jeannie" Anderson, age 73, of Chatsworth passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Jeannie was a member of Branded by Christ Cowboy Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Red Smithey; mother, Eva Mae Smithey; and brother, David Russell Smithey.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Gowens and Alan Gowens - all of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Adam Gowens, Courtney Green, Zack Mullins, and Jonathon Ownbey; and nieces, Casey Stafford and Taylor Hutnik.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy McHan officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, social distancing and masks are encouraged. No food or drinks are allowed inside the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lisa Gowens to help with final expenses.
