Myra Hood Oglesby, age 74, walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, February 18, 2022. She was born in Statesboro, GA, on June 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Isaac and Irene Williams Hood. Myra grew up in Bulloch County and graduated from Screven County High School. She eventually moved to Warner Robins with her family where she worked for Master Cleaners for a number of years before retiring. Second Baptist was her church home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Wendell Oglesby.

She is survived by her loving children, Melissa Jean Paulk (Floyd) of Chatsworth, GA, and Isaac Wendell Oglesby (Linda) of Newington, GA; grandchildren, Garrett Logan Paulk of Chatsworth, GA, Brittany Nicole Oglesby of Warner Robins, GA, and John Wendell Oglesby of Rincon, GA; sister, Julieta Hood of Statesboro, GA; brother, Jerome Hood of Statesboro, GA; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nettie Hood of Pooler, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

At the family's request, all services will be private.
