Mrs. Maxine Ellis Pendergrass, age 88, of Dalton passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Ridgewood Manor.

Maxine was a member of Spring Hill Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pendergrass; daughter, Joan Ruth Whitt; parents, Arthur Henry and Lela Mae Ellis; sister, Bernice Dora Bolding; and brothers, Lawson Edgar Ellis, Smith Hall Ellis, Waymon Leon Ellis, and Larry Edward Ellis.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mary Jo Ellis of Chatsworth; a number of nieces and nephews; and the congregation at Spring Hill Church, who were special friends.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Maxine Ellis Pendergrass will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Lawhorne officiating. Interment will follow at Center Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
