Mrs. Mary Nelle Lancaster, age 90 of Tallapoosa, Ga, (formerly of Chatsworth), passed on June 24, 2024 at home with her husband Wilbur at her side.

Mary attended Steadman Baptist Church and dearly loved the Lord (because He loved her) and her church family, of every church she was blessed to attend. Mary's testimony of love for her God was always something that she loved to express.

Mary was preceded in death by her sons Wilbur O. (Dennis) and Anthony (Tony). Mother, Pauline Anders. Father St. Elmo Lowery. Brothers Ernest Jenkins Jr. and Wayne Lowery. Sister Leola Plumley. Grandson Damion Lancaster. Great Grandson Bo Lancaster. Daughter-In-Laws Kathy Lancaster, Lynn Lancaster, and Ruby Lancaster.

Mary is survived by her husband, and love of her life, of 71 years Wilbur. Sons and daughter-in-law Herbert (Bert) of Richardson, Tx., Winston of Tallapoosa, Ga, and Scott (daughter-in-law Ruth) of Raleigh, N.C. sister, Sandra Lowery of Kettering, Ohio, Grandchildren Kassie, Jessica, Sean, Michael, Amy, and Janice Lancaster. Great grandchildren Karlie, Lance, Robert, Liam, Lillie, Mary, Shelby, Kimberly and Sarah. Great, great grandson Declan. Bonus grandchildren Joaquin and Flavia. And many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Visitation for Mary will be at Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth, Ga. On July 18th at 6 PM.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Steadman Baptist Church in Tallapoosa, Ga. On July 20th at 2 PM.

Flowers are welcome, but donations to your church in Mary's memory would be greatly appreciated.
