Mrs. Mary Margaret Evans, age 78 of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Evans; parents, Horace and Lizzie Carnes; brothers, Jr. Carnes, John Billy Carnes, and Richard Carnes; sister, Joann McBee.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mark Hammontree; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Tammy Kyle and Tim and Rende Kyle; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Roger Thurman; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Margaret Evans will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Headrick and Mr. Ronnie Kyle officiating. Interment will follow at Eton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
