Mrs. Margaret Sue Slaton, age 84 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Quinton Memorial Health and Rehab.

Margaret was well known for her big heart and loved taking care of her family and friends. She never met an animal in need that she did not take in. She had a passion for building things and worked side by side for many years with her husband Jason building and remodeling houses where she made many lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bell Bishop Kendrick; father, Henry Bishop; step-father Nezer Kendrick; husband, Marvin Key; husband Jason Slator.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lynn Key of Cohutta, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Judy Bishop of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Hunter and Sussy Key of Dacula, GA; niece and nephew-in-law, Kerry and Paul Chastain; special friend, Lee Cagle; extended family also survives.

Cremation services were provided by Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margaret Sue Slaton will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
