Mr. Larry Eugene Bowen, age 67, of Dalton, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Parkridge North ER.

He was called home to be with God and to thank Jesus in person for saving his soul. Larry was tired and his body was worn out. Healing here on earth was not meant to be. Healing was meant to be with a new body in heaven, free from all the struggles and pain here on earth.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Earlie C. and Frances E. Bowen; grandparents, LeRoy and Christie Young and Horace A. and Stella Bowen; brothers, Jackie Bowen, Jerry Bowen, Terry Bowen, Tommy Bowen, and Bobby Bowen Sr.; sister-in-law, Linda Keith Bowen; brother-in-law, Jimmy Stanley; niece, Tina D. Waters; many aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his loving wife, Pam Bowen of Dalton, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Tripp Elrod of Calhoun, GA, Justin and Melissa Elrod of Dalton, GA, Sawyer Bowen of Dalton, GA, Erik Hughes of Chatsworth, GA, and Bryson Bowen of Calhoun, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle Upchurch of Jamestown, TN, Mandy Stewart of Chatsworth, GA, Khristy and Chris Harden of Dalton, GA, and Heather and Jeremy Rogers of Chatsworth, GA; sisters-in-law, Judy Langham Bowen of Chatsworth, GA, Saira Bowen of Chatsworth, GA, and Carolyn Bowen of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby L. and Wayne Mason of Chatsworth, GA and Judy Bowen Stanley of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Annabelle, Devin, Jace, Victoria, Gracie, Tyler, McKenley, James, Jesse, Amanda, Hannah, Brent, Kyle, Cameron, and Charleigh; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one very special aunt, Carolyn Brandenburg.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Larry Eugene Bowen will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Bowen and Rev. Keith Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Peeples Funeral Home on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory to aid with final expenses.
