Mr. Joseph Horace Strickland, Sr. age 90 of Chatsworth, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at his residence.

Joseph was a member of Free Hope Baptist Church, an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed tinkering in his yard.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine Callahan Strickland; daughter, Judy Coffey; parents, Rosby and Lillian Strickland; brothers, Rosby Strickland Jr., WK Strickland, Dilburn Strickland, Dearl Strickland, Wendell Strickland, and Stanley Strickland; sister Roslyn Brumbelow.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Lisa Strickland of Chatsworth; daughter, Joyce Meadows of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Josh and Kristen Strickland, Sarah and Kyle Parker, and Autumn Meadows; great-grandchildren, Genevieve, Matthew, Adalaide, Benjamin Cole, and Tatum; extended family also survives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Joseph Horace Strickland will be held on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Dennis Self officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00pm until the service hour.
