Mr. Joseph Claude Anderson, age 83, of Chatsworth went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8, 2023. Born on February 7, 1940 in Smithfield, West Virginia. Joe was a devout husband, loving father, pappap, and great-pappap.

Joe was a proud Army Veteran and a member of the Mannington Masonic F&AM Lodge No 31, Scottish Right, and Nemesis Shriners Temple in Parkersburg, WV.  He retired from Ormet where he worked from October 22, 1968 to January 1, 2000. He enjoyed camping, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Llyod Anderson and Edna Opal Anderson; brothers, Donald, Jack, Billy, and Robert Anderson; sisters, Neva, Geraldine, Betty, Paula Rose, and Carolyn.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Anderson; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and David Haught of Chatsworth, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Karen Anderson and Darrin and Jennifer Anderson, all of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Jim Anderson of Burgettstown, PA and John Anderson of Weirton, WV; grandchildren, Hannah Bryson, Rachel Haught, Hayden Anderson, Holden Anderson, Rebecca Whaley, Madison Binimow, Lance Corporal, Peyton Binimow, Brandon Harrington, and Jorden Harrington; great-grandchild, Declan Bryson.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Joseph Claude Anderson will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Center Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
