Mr. Johnny R. Dean, age 82, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Parkside Nursing Home.

He loved going to church, singing, and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Free and Annie Dean; brothers, Emmett "Buster" and James Dean; wife, Celia Dean; daughter by heart, Etta Sue Tankersley; granddaughter by heart, Cathy Crider; and grandson by heart, Johnny Green.

Survivors include his family by love, Wanda Thurman of Chatsworth, James and Patricia Green, J.W. and Sandy Tankersley, and Geraldine and Daniel Petkus; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren by heart.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnny R. Dean will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Fairy Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
