Mr. Johnny Callahan, age 77, of Chatsworth passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

Johnny was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and he served in law enforcement for 35 years. Hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Martha Callahan; brothers, Grady, Randall, V.C., Billy, Joe, and Dixon Callahan; and sisters, Faye Vaughn and Betty Lou Ware.

Survivors include his wife, June Callahan of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Fred Alexander of Chatsworth; special nephew and wife, Bruce and Samantha Callahan of Chatsworth; great-nephews, Ralph and Will Callahan – both of Chatsworth; special friend, Pat Callahan of Chatsworth; and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A memorial reception will be held at Peeples Funeral Home on Friday, March 4, 2022, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
