Jessie Marie Lewis

Ms. Jessie M. Lewis, age 76, of Chatsworth, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Murray Woods.

Jessie was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Alexander Smith and Mary Willene Silvers Smith; her son, Michael Green; and her sister, Dortha Willene Green.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Taylor Green of Dalton, GA; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Smith of Rocky Face, GA, Ray and Mary Smith of Chatsworth, Hoyt and Linda Smith of Tunnel Hill, GA, George and Debbie Smith of Danville, KY, John and Marsha Smith of Cohutta, GA, Dale and Vickey Smith of Tunnel Hill, GA, and Wade and Lisa Smith of Cohutta, GA; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Paul Edwards of Rome, GA, Janie Keith of Chatsworth, Sharon and James Wilson of Chatsworth, and Pam Smith of Chatsworth, GA; her grandchildren, John and Andrea Berry, Aubrianna and Thomas MacDonald, Kirstin and Landan Everett, Hayden Green, Dawson Smithey and Ella Smithey; her great-grandchildren, Sadie Berry, Magnolia Berry, Zion Berry, and Ledger Berry; and the father of her children, Mac Green; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ms. Jessie M. Lewis will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. John Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
