Janice Stafford Everette, age 82, of Chatsworth passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Quinton Memorial Health and Rehabilitation.

She was a member of Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Jennis W. Everette; father, Earl Stafford; mother, Magdalene Cockburn Stafford; father-in-law, Jennis Obie Everette; mother-in-law, Mildred Everette; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hamill; and brother-in-law, George Bryant.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Randy W. Everette of Chatsworth and Tony and Maxine Everette of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Johnny Cowart of Ringgold; brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Gail Stafford of Crandall; sister, Alicia Bryant of Crandall; grandchildren, T.J. Everette, Shelby Everette, Bethany and Jeff Reese, Samuel and Peyton Cowart, and Wayne and Diana Johnson; great-grandchildren, Gage Everette, Kailyn and Matthew Johnson, and Emmaleigh Reese; sisters-in-law, Lois Hamill, Faye Everette, and Jeannie Everette-Black; brothers-in-law, Autry Hamill and Tom Black; and several nieces and nephews.

The family extends special thanks to Tim Winterbottom and Amedisys Hospice for the compassionate care that they provided.

A memorial service for Mrs. Everette will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Clark officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for an hour prior to the service.
