Mr. James Leroy Bailey, age 54 of Chatsworth, passed away on August 25, 2022 in Dawson County.

Mr. Bailey was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed drag racing, restoring old cars, watching Georgia football, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Betty Bailey; mother-in-law, Wanda Tallent; brother-in-law, William Tallent; sister-in-law, Leeann Tallent; several uncles, aunts and cousins.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Cindy Bailey of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Jamie Bailey and Chris Trottman of Chatsworth; brother-in-law, Jimmy Tallent of Chatsworth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Rick Cochran of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Hayden Bailey, Savannah Bailey, Sara Carroll, Kaylee Carroll, Brenden Carroll, Wesley Carroll, Skylar Huckeby, Brantley Huckeby, Markus Parks, Jaliyah Bowling; adopted son, Tyler Myers; adopted daughter, Victoria Bowling; nieces and nephews, who were all loved like his children, Justin Tallent, Joel and Nikki Carroll, Jesse Cochran, Chyenne Cochran, Thomas Parks, Richard Tallent, Hayley Wilbough, and Chris Reagan.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. James Bailey will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Smith officiating.
