Jackie Wayne Wilhelm, age 72, passed away on March 3, 2025 in Ellijay, Georgia.  Born on April 3, 1952 in Mangum, Oklahoma, Jackie was the son of Archie Cortice Wilhelm, Jr. and Callie Christine Osborne Wilhelm.

An accomplished Journey Electrician, Jackie was highly regarded among the circle of electricians in Austin, Texas. He specialized in industrial-level projects and served as Project Manager in the construction of hi-tech facilities in Austin including Motorola Semiconductor Systems, Samsung Semiconductor, Intel and Advanced Micro Devices. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW Local 520 and proudly served as Officer/Treasurer for two terms.  He retired in 2012.

Jackie balanced his professional responsibilities with a zest for experiencing life to its fullest.  He traveled to Scotland, the Baltic region, the Caribbean and throughout the United States. He especially enjoyed traveling to the states along the Gulf of Mexico and visiting the many casinos in Mississippi and North Carolina.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jackson McDougal Wilhelm.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Terri McDougal Wilhelm, his brother, Archie Joe Wilhelm, his sister, Rita Dee Wilhelm Lawless, numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

Jackie leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  His endurance and infallible determination serve as an inspiration for family and friends alike.  He will be deeply missed and always remembered.
