Mr. J W (Red) Edwards, age 91, of Chatsworth passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Red was a World War II army veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church of Chatsworth for over 50 years, a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple, and past president of the Echota Vann Shrine Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mae Muse Edwards; sisters, Frances Pettini and Jacqueline Manis; brother, Clyde Edwards; and nephew, Tommy Manis.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Elaine Edwards; daughter, Cynthia Edwards; granddaughter, Macie Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Claude Cantrell; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. J W (Red) Edwards will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. George Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Eton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
