Mrs. Idell Tinsley Tate, age 98 of Eton, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Quinton Memorial.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Idell was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Tate; parents, Clifford and Sid Brewer and Jim Tinsley; sister, Faye Brewer Quade; half-brother, Ed Tinsley; step-siblings, Gordon Brewer, Nannie Lou (Brewer) Arthur and Flossie (Brewer) Stafford.

Survivors include her daughter, Robin Painter Collins of Eton; stepson and daughter-in-law, Steve and Marianne Tate of Virginia Beach;  grandchildren, Audrey Collins and Nate Holliday of San Diego, CA, and Rachel and Brandon Jozsa of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchild, Madelyn Elizabeth Holliday; niece, Carole Quade Enright; and numerous close cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Idell Tinsley Tate will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Beason officiating. Interment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
