Herbert Timothy "Kit" Carson, age 66, of Chatsworth passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.

He was of the Church of God denomination.

Tim loved his family and friends and was always helping someone. He will be remembered most for his outgoing personality, love for God, sweet smile, and loving heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Carson; mother, Frances Carson; brothers, Randy and Tommy Carson; and children, Matthew and Lisa Carson.

Survivors include his wife, DeLana Carson; sons and daughter-in-law, Tonder Gentry (Candy) and Heath Gentry – all of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Troy Overby (Becky) of Dalton; grandchildren, Tristan Gentry, Zachary Gentry, and Eli Carson; brother-in-law, J.D. Thompson of Norman, OK; sister-in-law, Grace Treat of Flippin, AR; cousin, Lisa Hall (Waylan) of Chatsworth; and several other cousins and special friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Carson will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 22, 2021, in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Stoney Kiser officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the funeral services from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
