Mrs. Gwendolyn Sue Stephens "Susie", age 74, of Chatsworth, GA passed away on July 22, 2024.

Susie peacefully passed away after a brief battle with cancer. She was a member and a pastor's wife of Old Fashion Baptist Church for over 40 years. She had a strong faith in Christ and is now in Heaven. She was known for her simple, quiet life filled with kindness, humility, and generosity. She taught her daughters to befriend the unnoticed and lived this lesson daily, demonstrating her love and care for others in numerous ways. Susie took her daughters to nursing homes many a Sunday afternoon to conduct church services; for many years she drove a church van to pick up children for Sunday school; and she always found time to have Sunday dinner on the table. Her life was marked by acts of love and devotion. She loved her Lord, her family and her church and she will be sorely missed. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband and daughter in the arms of Jesus.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Stephens; and her daughter, Heather Houle.

Survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry (Joel) Southerland, Melissa Waters, and Gary Houle; her grandchildren, Savana (Trey) Dunn, Mikayla (Josh) Garrison, Bailey Waters, Stephen (Olivia) Houle, and Jordan Houle. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren that brought her much joy, Lukas, Lily & Lainey Dunn, and Jaxton, Judson & Juni Garrison; several siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Per her wishes, there will be a private ceremony at a later date.
