Mr. Goble Nullon Herndon, age 83, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed quietly into the arms of his Savior on February 4, 2024 at his home surrounded by his caregivers and extended family.

Goble was originally from Castlewood, VA, where he was born and raised. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott G. Herndon and mother, Nannie K. Herndon. Goble was also preceded in death by his 7 brothers, Calvin, Junior, Beecher, Bill, Hubert, J.C., and Robert "Bob". His remaining relatives are nieces and nephews and his extended family, Judy and Mike Evelti and their children.

Goble was always our favorite uncle because he was the most fun. He worked in the carpet mills in Georgia where he has made a home for forty plus years. Goble was a faithful friend and had a wonderful sense of humor. He absolutely loved to garden where he would grow vegetables and beautiful flowers. He loved all types of music, especially gospel and bluegrass. He will be greatly missed by all of us who knew and loved him.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Goble Nullon Herndon will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Hare officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
