Mrs. Gloria "Goldie" Denise York, age 67 of Chatsworth, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at AdventHealth Gordon.

Goldie was a proud mother of two daughters, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson. My mother Goldie only walked this earth for a short time and gave so much of herself to everyone who loved her. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Goldie was a hard worker and she loved her DIY projects. She was a wonderful mother, sister, friend, and grandmother who was always there when we needed her. "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never loose. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn White; father, William Thurman; husband, L.C. York; fiancé, James Massengill; daughter, Eliza York; great-grandson, Lane Maynor; brothers, Paul Thurman and Kenny White; sisters, Karen Wilson and Joyce James.

Survivors include her daughter, Valerie York, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Jenny White of Grandville, IL and Glen and Bessie White of Asheton, IL; sisters and brother-in-law, Mavis Bannister and Obie King of Lockport, IL, Gayle Olsen of Asheton IL, and Carolyn Thibeault of Darien, IL; grandchildren, Lucas Maynor, Sierra Lurz, Danielle Lurz, Emma Maynor, and Abrielle Martinez; loved stepson, Zackery Massengill; very special and very loved nephew and niece Jerry and Trisha York with son Shmo (Baby Jerry); countless nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gloria "Goldie" Denise York will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Fetkenhour officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
