Freddie Charles Allen Sr., age 67, of Chatsworth passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at AdventHealth Murray. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Freddie was preceded in death by his father, Columbus Allen; mother, Edna Allen; son, Freddie C. Allen Jr.; brother, R.C. Allen; and father-in-law, Charles Chastain.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra "Sandy" Allen; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and John Brumbelow of Dalton and Juanita Padgett of Calhoun; mother-in-law, Frances Chastain of Dalton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brenda Kendrick of Chatsworth, Elaine and Donnie Chastain of Dalton, and Charlotte and David Cothern of Dalton; aunt, Naomi Odom of Ellijay; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Allen will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Peeples Funeral Home on Friday from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm, and the body will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the funeral begins at 2:00 pm.
