Mrs. Flossie Mae Anderson Dean, age 89, of Chatsworth, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Murray Woods Nursing Home.

Flossie was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church. She spent her entire life striving to serve others. She loved her family and extended church family with all her soul. Flossie loved gardening and canning which granted her the title of "Master Gardener." She felt it was a blessing to cook for others, especially her preacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Emmett O. "Buster" Dean; parents, Carter H. Anderson and Dimple Bennett Anderson Stafford; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Anderson and C.H. and Frankie Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann and Raymond Gilbert; son-in-law, James Edward Boyd.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Vergie Dean of Chatsworth; daughter, Beverly Boyd of Big Canoe, GA; sister-in-law, Betty Anderson Sumler of Dalton, GA; and special friends, Charlie and Mary Ellis and Sherry Corbin. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Murray Woods Memory Care. "The nurses and CNAs went above and beyond their duties. There are not enough words to tell them how we as a family could not have made it through this past year had it not been for them." The family would like to extend another special thank you to the staff of Traditions Hospice for taking such great care of their mom.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Flossie Mae Anderson Dean will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Green officiating. Interment will follow at Center Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Welcome Valley Baptist Church c/o Rev. Bobby Green. (317 Vess Rd, Chatsworth, GA 30705)
