Mrs. Evelyn Claudell Green, age 77 of Chatsworth, passed away March 2, 2022 at her residence.

She loved traveling, camping, fishing and spending time with her family.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley and Bertha Townsend; son, Lamar Goble; great grandson, Hunter Goble; sisters, Beedie Holt, Alice Tanksley, Pauline Rymer; brother, Coleman Townsend.

Survivors include her loving husband of 23 years, O. Jay Green of Chatsworth; sons and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Eva Goble of Chatsworth, Patrick Green of Murfreesboro, TN; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry McGee and Billy Foster of Chatsworth, Frieda Bearden of Dalton; brothers and sister-in-law, Raymond Townsend of Chatsworth, Roscoe and Mary Nell Townsend of Dalton;  sisters, Cleo Reed of Dalton, Jackie Owens of Chatsworth, Wanda Tillman of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Kimberly Pellom and Seth, Salina Weaver and Billy, CJ Shoemaker and Samantha, Cynthia Goble, Dwayne Sitton, Crystal Philips, Heather Goble; twelve great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; Shirley Goble - father of her children; and extended family.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Evelyn Claudell Green will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11:00am from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Vince Goble and Rev. Gary Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in Center Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and Sunday from 11:00am until 8:00pm.
