Mr. Emmett Floyd Chambers, age 99, of Chatsworth, GA, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Regency Park Health and Rehabilitation in Dalton, GA.

Mr. Chambers was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He loved to talk about his Lord. He also liked to give advice on many life subjects. His joy was his grandkids and 2 little Shih Tzu's, Vanna and Pepper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Eddie and Fannie Mae Chambers; his loving wife of over 60 years, Frieda Chambers; infant son, Edward Chambers; sons, Steve Chambers, Ray Chambers, and Floyd Chambers; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Ray Bowen; grandsons, Edward Bowen, Marshall Bowen, Mark Chambers, and Adam Sampson; brother, Robert Chambers; sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Harley Langford; brothers-in-law, Hugh Don Defore and Leland McMillan; granddaughter, Diana Chambers.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Leslie and Vera Chambers of Cohutta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Eddie Sampson of Chatsworth, GA; daughters-in-law, Brenda Carver of Chatsworth, GA, Nancy Teague (James) of Chatsworth, GA, and Brenda Lonas (Leon) of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Jimmy Lee Defore of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Angela Sampson, Steven Sampson, Debra Sampson, Jason Sampson, and Sarah Sampson, Patricia Fernandez, Alan McGill, Sasha Jackson, Angie Maddron, Steve Chambers, Eric Chambers, Jill Hedrick, and April Wilder; great-grandchildren, Blake Bowen, Monica Bowen, John Bowen, Bridgett Bowen, Dylan Hedrick, Amy Hedrick, Owen Wilder, Olivia Wilder, Cody Maddron, Trevor Maddron, Justin Chambers, Jaxon Chambers, Jhase Chambers, Erica Chambers, Gavon Chambers, and Lydia Jackson; family friends, Sandra and David Green and their children, Rebecca, Cierra, and David; many great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
