Mr. Elbert Monroe Travis, age 79 of Chatsworth, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Dalton Place Retirement Community.

Elbert was a member of the Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rube Travis; mother, Ruby Travis.

Survivors include his wife, Frieda Travis of Chatsworth; sons and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Betty Travis of Chatsworth and Steve Travis of Ringgold, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Juanita Travis of Dayton, TN; sisters and brother-in-law, Donna and Kenny Davis of Ootlewah, TN and Nyla and Gary Gentry of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Allie Collins, Chris Patterson, and Melissa Hans; great-grandchildren, Trinity Collins and Truly Collins.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Elbert Monroe Travis will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Williams officiating. Interment will follow from Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March, 22, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
