Mr. Earnest E. Long, age 83 of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at AdventHealth Redmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Violet Long; other family members, Arvil Long, Hardin Long, Otis Long, J.P. Long, Elmer Long, Dee Long, Earline Odell, Florida Duckett, Vinnie Bishop, Verna Mays, and Berthie Long.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Long of Chatsworth; son, Dwayne Long of Chatsworth; daughters and son-in-law, Judy Byrd of Chatsworth, and Nancy and Brad Utley of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Felicia Byrd, Tanya Mejia, Ryan Utley, Phillip Long, and Kyle Long; many great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Earnest E. Long will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Carson Scarbrough officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
