Mr. Dewey Carter, age 93, of Crandall, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Mark Carter; parents, John William Carter and Nellie Blankenship Carter; sisters, Grace Foster, Ruth Mathis, Clara Lee Pence (Tommie), Mildred Suttles (Bill), and Jo Knight; brother, David Carter.

Survivors include his loving wife, Fern Wade Carter of Crandall, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Lona Carter of Auburn, CA and Jeffery Carter and Shandalia Arrendale of Rocky Face, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Brett Morris of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Austin Blake Carter, Justin Cole Carter, Haleigh Carter Morris, Benjamin Wade Carter, Daimon LaCour Carter, and Jacob Carter; great-grandchildren, Johnathan LaCour Carter and Elle Leona Carter; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Dewey Carter will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Smith and Mr. Justin Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Fairy Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
