Mrs. Deborah Dianne Cross Stokes, age 67, of Chatsworth, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at her home.

Debbie was a devout Christian and a woman of strong faith. She loved cats, spending time in her garden, and listening to Elvis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Beau" Farrel Stokes; her sister, Rosa Lee Brewer; her brothers, Billy Cross, Tommy Cross, Larry Cross, and Michael Cross; her mother, Ella Mae Dills Cross; and her father, CL Cross.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jason David Stokes and Samantha Anne Stokes of Chatsworth; her sister, Kathy Jones; and her grandchildren, Haely Stokes and Alexis Stokes; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Deborah Dianne Cross Stokes will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Linginfelter officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Cohutta, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 12:30 pm until 3:00 pm.
