Mrs. Cleo Martin, age 90, of Crandall, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her home.

Known to everyone as "Nanny," Cleo Martin was the heart of her family and a woman whose life was defined by love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished. She found her greatest joy in gathering with family, whether on the porch, around the holiday table, or sharing meals she lovingly prepared, especially her unforgettable biscuits and gravy. She was known for her warm heart, unmistakable laugh, fierce honesty, and vibrant personality. Strong, hardworking, and deeply genuine, Cleo loved without reservation, welcomed everyone with open arms, and taught her family the importance of faith, hard work, and always making time for one another. Her greatest legacy is the love she poured into every generation, and she will be remembered as the family's guiding light and their greatest blessing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Martin; her son, Larry Martin; her parents, Monroe Jackson and Minnie Fuller Jackson; and her brother, Johnny "J.B." B. Jackson.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Roger Martin of Crandall, GA and Gary and Erna Martin of Chatsworth; her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dale Bacon of Cleveland, TN, Debby and Ricky Parson of Crandall, GA, and Brenda and Tim Miles of Crandall, GA; her sister, Dot King of Riverdale, GA; her grandchildren, Gary Martin, Jr., Larry Martin, Eric Martin, Gary Hayes, Russell Richards, Joshua Childers, Jagger Childers, Shelby Everette, Andrea Bacon, Toni Bozeman, Rebecca Taylor, Tracy Gonzalez, Jacob Martin, and Caity Brill; her 29 great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Adams of Denison, TX and Judy Martin of Dalton, GA; extended family also survives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cleo Martin will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Bowers officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
