Clarice Avenelle Amos, age 86, of Chatsworth passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at her residence.

She was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church.

Mrs. Amos was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Wileen Miles; husband, Bobby D. Amos Sr.; son, Bobby D. "Robin" Amos Jr.; sister, Katherine Winkler; and brother, Harold Miles.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Barron Lee and Donna Amos and Keith Amos – all of Chatsworth; daughters, Gina Guthrie of Brasstown, NC, and Starla Patterson of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.D. Miles, Tommy and Faye Miles, Gerald and Louise Miles, and Ted and Kay Miles – all of Chatsworth; 19 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Amos will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Dewberry Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Bowen officiating and remarks by Keith Amos. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Peeples Funeral Home on Friday from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm.
