Mrs. Cynthia Jo (Cindy) Diaz Peeples, age 69, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Emory University Hospital.

After growing up in Tampa, Florida, Cindy moved to Dalton, Georgia while in high school. She considered North Georgia her home from then on. After attending Berry College and Dalton State College, Cindy completed her studies at the University of Georgia obtaining her Pharmacy degree and began her pharmacy career. Cindy and Tom were married and began their family life and business endeavors in Chatsworth, Georgia. They became part of Carlton's Pharmacy and served many of Murray County's residents who valued a small town, friendly atmosphere.

Cindy often cared for her grandchildren and enjoyed exceptionally close relationships with them. Calls, texts, and visits kept her updated on their activities, and she was always happy to share their latest accomplishments. Cindy could always be found trying to do a good deed for someone and will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to those who needed help.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Anibal Diaz and Lois Hines Pritt.

She is survived by her husband Tom Peeples, Jr; children, Daniel and Terran Peeples, Melinda Peeples Smith and Jason Smith; step-daughter, Melodie Peeples Burger and Calvin Burger, and their children, Lacey Burger and Ross and Amy Burger. The lights of Cindy's life were her grandchildren: Landon and Jillian Hansird, Luke, Jordan, Jett, and Jade Smith. Jase and Crew Peeples.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cindy Peeples will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from the chapel of Peeples Funeral home in Chatsworth, GA with Rev. Dwight Scott and Rev. Graham Arp officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 2 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. They will also receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m.

As those who knew her would expect, Cindy requested that her celebration of life be a quiet, simple service and that her cremated remains be scattered at the beach where she found great peace and happiness. Donations in her memory would be gladly accepted at St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
