Mr. Christopher "Chris" Hugh Hartness, of Chatsworth, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Chris was born on January 27, 1965 in Dalton, GA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Hartness; grandparents, Tom and Peal Bishop and Walter and Lela Hartness.

Survivors include his beloved fur baby, Oreo Hartness; best friend and dad, Jimmy Hartness; sons and daughters-in-law, Isaiah and Ocean Stennett, Jordan and Tiffany Priest, and Justin and Montana Priest; grandchildren, Greyson Stennett, Parker Stennett, Easton Stennett, Jax Priest, Aubree Priest, and Laila Priest; sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and Lewie Farmer; niece and their spouse, Hillary and Chris Magness; nephew, Blake Heptinstall; great nieces, Ryleigh O'Donald and Aislynn Heptinstall; great nephews, Mason O'Donald, Ashton Heptinstall, Brantley Magness, and Jaxson Magness; aunts and uncles, Mary and Robert Brand, Carolyn Hartness, and Jerry Bishop; cousins and friends, Kevin and Lisa Tankersley and their children; many other cousins and extended family and friends also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Nagvib and staff, Dalton Family Practice, and Dr. Paulson and staff who took such good care of Chris.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Christopher "Chris" Hugh Hartness will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Herndon, Rev. Kevin Tankersley, and Rev. Harold Poteet officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Place Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
