Rev. Billy Mac Raper, age 80 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at Erlanger Hospital.

Billy was a member of Anchor Holds Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and William Raper; sisters, Evelyn Holcomb, Patsy Wilson Fitz, Betty Crawford; brother, Wade Raper.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Cheryl Raper of Chatsworth; son, Bryan Raper of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Leah and Randy Gallion of Chatsworth, Angie and Jay Bright of Suches, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Gary Crisp of McDonough; grandchildren, Jennifer Garner, Heather Woodworth, Stephanie Woodworth, Levi Gallion; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Garner,  Layla Garner; and extended family.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Rev. Billy Mac Raper will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from Anchor Holds Baptist Church at 11:00am with Rev. David Owens, Rev. Michael Matthews, and Rev. Roger Baker officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery.

Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth at the funeral home at 10:30am before proceeding to the church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
