Mrs. Betty Champion Parrott, age 89, of Austell, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice Center.

Betty was a member of Park Street Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA where she was a part of the Wesley Class Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Meredith Johnna Parrott; brother, Jerry Taft Champion; father, Howard Champion; mother, Gladys Champion.

Survivors include her loving husband of 69 years, Johnny Parrott of Austell, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Walter Burks of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Heather Hunter (Danny) and Hannah Burks; great-grandchildren, Steven Hunter, Shane Hunter, and Jayce Burks; nephew and spouse, Taft and Erin Champion; extended family also survives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Betty Champion Parrott will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
