Mrs. Betty Jane (Jones) Ridley, age 83 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at home.

She loved her family deeply and cherished memories of spending time with her siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. She instilled the value of family into her own immediate circle of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty was known for her strength to overcome and endure, as well as her soup and coconut cake. She loved the outdoors, watching birds and blooming roses but most of all fishing, which she would rather do more than anything. She shared much laughter and much advice with those she loved.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, William (Dud) and Bonnie Jones; husband, Hugh Ridley; siblings, William (Buck) Jones, Calvin Jones, Clifford Jones, Kathleen (Jones) Keith, Evelyn (Jones) Hammontree, Mary (Jones) McCune.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sharon Ridley of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy (Ridley) and Sam Young of Chatsworth; brother, Arvel Jones of Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann (Jones) and Billy Parker of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Josh Young, Katie (Young) and Adam Winkler; great grandchildren, Katelynne Winkler, Logan Young, Kara Winkler, Lawson Young; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Betty Jane (Jones) Ridley will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Josh Young, Katie Winkler, and Rev. Billy Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.
