Mrs. Barbara Hampton, age 91, went peacefully to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 29, 2023.

Barbara was born in Copperhill, TN; the only child of the late Otis Bridges and Bessie Ballew. Barbara was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the Lord and was a member of Holly Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Rembert Ballew and her beloved "Big Mama" Minnie Sinnamon.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her husband of 74 years, George Hampton "Junior" and her family: children, Sandra (Roy) Sexton, Steven (Beverly) Hampton, Margie (Edd) Ramsey, Tony (Penny) Hampton, and George (Terri) Hampton; "adopted" children, Debbie and David Willis and Linda Anderson; grandchildren, Denver (Tracy) Sexton, Tara (Keith) Robinette, Kimberly Bramblett, Tiffanie (Matt) McNeal, Annicka (Eric) Chitwood, Nicole (Michael) Williams, Shannon (Sarah Beth) Amos, Emily Hampton, Eric (Rita Marie) Davis, Colby (Ashley) Davis, and Trey (Makayla) Hampton; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Leslie) Sexton, Reagan and Reed Sexton, Ava, Cayce and Brinlee Robinette, Megan (Zach) Callahan, Sarah Bramblett, Taylor and Jacob McNeal, Airess Williams, Trinity, Gigi and Deacon Amos, Patton, Piper, Richlynn, Landen, Elise, and Nathaniel Davis, Rylee Gould, and Aaliyah Hampton; great great-grandchildren, Lauren and Carter Sexton and Wren Callahan.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hamilton Hospice, especially Felicia and Brianna.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barbara Hampton will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. John Bagley officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
