Alva Butler, age 74, of Chatsworth passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lillie Mae Patterson; granddaughter, Shaina Sanford; husband, Joe Don Butler; and brother, Jerry Patterson.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Thad Cunningham; brother, Kenneth Patterson; sisters and brother-in-law, Rosa and Marvin Crumbley, Marie Norwood, and Lola Mae Stewart; grandchildren, Gage Sanford, Zane Sanford, Chase Sanford, Cole Sims, and Ty Sims; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Butler will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 14, 2021, in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Phillip Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 pm until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm.
